Leadership Lesson #3 – Know Your Strengths

Leadership Lesson #3 – Know Your Strengths

You’re not ‘weak’ at cello playing. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
You’ve never done it, don’t want to do it ⁣⁣⁣⁣and never will do it. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
It’s not a weakness, it’s a non-strength. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
Same with lots of things about you- ⁣⁣⁣⁣being funny, being extrovert, ⁣⁣⁣⁣being well organised or singing in tune! ⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
50% of all of your ‘weaknesses’ don’t exist- they’re non-strengths. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
Never compare someone else’s strengths ⁣⁣⁣⁣with your non-strengths: it’s unfair, ⁣⁣⁣⁣unkind and incubates a lie.⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
If you strengthen your strengths, ⁣⁣⁣⁣the best you’ll be is a genius. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
If you strengthen your non-strengths, the best you’ll be is average. If that. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
Know your strengths. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
Be in team.⁣
Make the difference.
