At the end of time, sins of omission will be judged as equally as sins of commission.
Living your own life, minding your own business, finding your inner you, loving you, pampering you and being a lounge room legend with only a tiny vision for the welfare of others, turns what was always meant to be a life giving river into a swamp.
To omit all of that goodness and grace that we could have given to our worlds is to miss the mark as much as our wilful stubbornness misses the mark.
We receive from Christ forgiveness for both our lack of being good in our world AND our lack of bringing good to our world.
Lord, help us make this December the month of rivers and 2019 the Year of the River.
